Hi to all, I want to answer here to a very common question about showing stars after installing VOTItaly.

Lot of persons posts in forum and sends emails telling us that they can't show stars in home page.

The answer is that it's all normal.

In fact VOTItaly is an ajax-based replacement of the JOOMLA! core rating system. If you can't see stars in HOME PAGE may be your articles have a rate count equal to 0.

This is a Joomla! feature and VOTItaly just follow that.

Try to add votes to your articles (going through "read more" link). Later, returning to the home page, you will see stars to the rated contents.

... and if you can't show stars in your single content page, you have to check in your administration that the value Show rating has been enabled and is not to hide for your category, section and single content ....

I have multiple users whom can create an article via front end. They don't know Joomla at all so telling everyone to navigate down on article level an make an initial vote might help, but most of them will forget it (I know from my own experience).

- What file in Joomla handles the display of ratings on the home page?
- Is there a work around?
