This is true, the error is launched in the VOTItaly script. But it seems to be a conflict because the el.getElement is a correct mootools 1.11 method. May be the other plugin compromise the integrity of mootools? I see you are including jquery too... please be sure the compatibility mode is enabled.

Thank you for continuing to stick with it and continuing to try and help us, Silvio! Yes, the legacy mode plug-in is enabled. About mootools, if the Kunena discussbot had compromised the integrity of mootools, wouldn't other aspects of the site be affected in addition to VOTItaly?

To use VOTItaly you DON'T need the legacy mode plugin to be enabled! Unfortunately at the moment I can't figured out any module that need mootools... however the VOTItaly plugin has been implemented and tested to properly work with Joomla! 1.5 and mootools 1.11 (which is the default Joomla! javascript library).
Unofrtunately I can't help you in any other way...

Silvio, I just wanted to let you know, I am now trying the "Extra Votes" plug-in found at extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communi...o2OiJyYXRpbmciO30%3D and so far it appears to be working fine - no conflicts with the ObjectClarity Kunena Forum discussbot, they both seem to be getting along nicely. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Best of luck, and thanks again for your efforts. |

Hi, the compatibility mode I was intending is the JQuery compatibility option that, if I remember right, must be set to true in order to work together with other javascript frameworks. In fact the problem is caused by a not defined getElement function, but you can see mootools 1.11 api to ascertain it's a real method.
However if the other plugin solve your problem, it's better for you tu use it...  |
