first off thanks for the plugin.

the rating does not process at all, it says "updating..." and it goes on without completing

I tried to unistall and reinstall and nothing happened. I emailed my hosting account so I'm waiting for response from them.

Your server launch an Internal Server Error while performing the rating... Some servers have the same problems, we think this is a permissions problem...

Did you use VOTItaly 1.0 or 1.1?

I tried both version 1.0 ans 1.1 and still have the same problem.

any suggestions for configuring permissions to get the ratings to work?

Sorrry, with "permissions" I'm not talking about CHMOD permission... I refer to the web server permission...

If you want we can check better to your site... To do that we just need an ftp access... If you want send us via the contact form an ftp access to your site...
